The Faces Behind Made New Mercantile
Stacy Jordan
Originally from Findlay, Ohio, Stacy has been married to her husband, Jamie, for 24 years and is the proud mom of three young adult children. After 25 years as an Occupational Therapist, her passion for serving others led her to pursue a calling beyond healthcare and education.
What began as a dream of owning a thrift store became something much greater; a nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope, dignity, and renewal to the community. Stacy also helped found Encounter Church in 2023 and is an active participant of various other missions within Richmond.
When she's not tending to her community projects, Stacy enjoys a cup of Purdy’s coffee with a good book, cheering on the UK Wildcats with her family, and leading the Children and Youth Ministries for her church.
Nancy Brown
Originally from Gustine, California, Nancy moved to Richmond in 2019. She has been married to her husband, Dennis, for 50 years next June and is the proud mother of two and grandmother of four.
After serving in the government sector and retiring from her career as an Operations Manager for a national bank, Nancy has continued to pour into the Richmond community through Encounter Church and many local partnerships. When Stacy shared her vision for Made New Mercantile, Nancy found a renewed sense of purpose in co-founding a mission centered around serving neighbors and bringing hope to Madison County.
When she's not busy being the “Lint Roller Queen” at the Mercantile, Nancy enjoys traveling to Arizona to visit family, listening to her favorite Christian podcasts like The Wake Up Call, and hosting friends for Farkle game tournaments.
